Mar Gómez Glez (Madrid, 1977) is a Spanish writer, novelist and playwright. Her plays have been performed internationally, including Spain, India, Germany and USA (Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, Los Angeles, and Miami). She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the Calderón de la Barca 2011 for her play NUMBERS and the Beckett Theater Award for FUGA MUNDI. She is the author of three novels, the most recent of which is LA EDAD GANADA. She holds a PhD from New York University and she is an expert on Teresa of Ávila (1515 – 1582). She has taught in different institutions including New York University, University of Southern California and Bard College.
